Jeanie Barton
Jazz vocalist Jeanie Barton is originally from Beeston in Nottingham although she now lives in London and works prolifically on the jazz scene there. She performs regularly around the UK to increasing acclaim with her quartet and other ensembles, including the function band ‘Jazz and Cocktails’. Jeanie has sung backing vocals for Luddy Samms (The Drifters), fronted Al Wynette’s band at the 606 Club and is singer and compere for Laurie Morgan and his trio at their North London Sunday residency. Recent credits include performances at The Jazz Cafe, Ronnie Scott’s and The National Theatre, as well as a cruise on the Seine in Paris. She is proud to work with some of the best musicians on the British Jazz scene today.
For her performance at Pontefino she will be backed by piano and performing classics from the 40s and 50s; a nostalgic mix of ballads, bebop, vocalese and Latin jazz.
